As the current Branding AVP for UX Society, I was tasked with ideating and conceptualizing the publication materials to be released for the organization’s marketing initiative for LIONs Recweek 2021.
I managed and collaborated with a team of talented designers to create the necessary deliverables required for the event. I was able to produce the main poster and the raffle winner pub, which was disseminated in the organization’s social media accounts, aiding in recruiting new members for UX Society.

The proposed theme was inspired from the the retro era of Apple posters and the work of Susan Kare, who contributed immensely to the first interface elements of the Macintosh. To collaborate easily with the team, we decided to use Figma to collect pegs and determine our primary typefaces and color palette.
Inspired from the retro colors of Apple Computer, I experimented with how the existing UX Society logo can be manipulated to suit the event’s theme.
I decided to use the retooled UX Society logo as the focal point of the main poster, mimicking the way retro Apple posters puts the logo front and center. The team decided to use pixelated typefaces that were inspired from Susan Kare’s typeface contributions to the Macintosh.
The design of this collateral drew from the pixelated icons of Susan Kare and integrated the mechanics of the event, which was a cereal-box style maze to give the viewers more context about the game that was won by the organization’s members.
